Proponen medidas extremas para obligar a pagar multas por mal estacionamiento

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (TELEMUNDO WI) - Concejales de milwaukee quieren imponer na nueva manera de hacer que la gente pague su multas por estacionamiento, al colocales una bota a sus vehículos.

Actualmente la ley estatal no permite esto, pero líderes de la ciudad quieren colocar estos artefactos a vehículos con excesivas multas impagas; Si usted quiere su auto de regreso, tendrá que pagar todas las multas.

Pero esto no es para todo, esto seria para personas quienes tengan al menos cinco violaciones de no movimiento y que no pagaron las multas por 60 días o más.

Pero el concejo necesita una aprobación estatal antes que ellos continúen con la propuesta.

El senador estatal Tim Carpenter dijo que Milwaukee tiene más de 30 millones de dólares en multas por estacionamiento sin pagar y el plan podría recolectar algo de ese dinero.

Actualmente cuando se que emite una multa de estacionamiento se enviará dos avisos al propietario registrado del vehículo. Si, después de 28 días, la multa no se paga o el propietario no aparece en la corte, una autoridad puede decirle al DMV que suspenda el registro del vehículo involucrado y / o que rechaze el registro de todos vehículos registrados por el mismo propietario.

Los lideres estatales dijeron que la ciudad ha pedido la autoridad para colocar estas botas por varios años; Carpenter añadió que si no pasa este año, va a intentar nuevamente el próximo año.
